From a borrowed camera to a studio.
I started Labstory in 2017 with one borrowed DSLR and a curiosity about how companies tell their own story. The first project: a company profile for a small business in East Semarang. A lovely client, and a result worth showing.
In 2019 we got serious about video. In 2021 we registered as CV. Selalu Senang Bercerita — so we could work with tier-1 companies and institutions that need formal contracts.
Today we are a team of three. What hasn’t changed since 2017: we love hearing our clients’ stories before we start shooting.

Hakim
Abdul Hakim Nurmaulana. Started Labstory in 2017. Now focuses on directing, cinematography and working with clients.
Bareta
Bareta Hendy Pamungkas. Handles production logistics and is the lead photographer for events and weddings.
Dwi
Dwi Sugiyantoro Putro. Detail-oriented on inventory work and old-photo reproduction. Photo editor for every project.

First Consultation
Free. We listen to your story first — who the audience is, what you want to say, and when you need it.
Brief & Proposal
Once the direction is clear, we prepare a proposal with a price range, scope and timeline. Transparent, no surprises.
Pre-Production
Location scouting, shot list breakdown, shoot schedule, talent coordination. Everything is in place before the day.
Production
Shoot day. Our own team is on set — never outsourced to another vendor. The people you meet at the brief are the people who shoot.
Post-Production
Editing, color grading, audio mix. Two review rounds before finalising. Small adjustments are included in the scope.
Delivery
Final files in the formats you need (master + social cuts, or as briefed), plus a cloud archive for long-term access.
For those who need certainty.
We are officially registered as a CV (Indonesian limited partnership) with an active NIB (business ID) and NPWP (tax ID). We accept purchase orders, official invoices and formal contracts — important for state-owned enterprise and institutional procurement.
